The CIT Review Journal (CRJ) employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the evaluation. This approach promotes fairness, objectivity, and impartiality, allowing manuscripts to be assessed solely on their scholarly merit. The peer review process is central to maintaining the journal’s high academic standards and integrity.
Purpose of Peer Review
The peer review system ensures that only high-quality research, case studies, reports, and theoretical contributions are published. Reviewers play a crucial role in safeguarding the journal’s reputation by providing constructive feedback and maintaining rigorous scholarly standards. All manuscripts undergo peer review according to the procedure outlined below.
Initial Manuscript Evaluation
Upon submission, each manuscript is first evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Section Editor. Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they are insufficiently original, contain serious methodological or scientific flaws, exhibit poor language quality, or fall outside the journal’s aims and scope. Those meeting the minimum criteria are forwarded to at least two independent experts for detailed review. Authors of manuscripts rejected at this stage are notified within one week of receipt.
Type of Peer Review
The CIT Review Journal uses a double-blind review system, where both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process. This ensures unbiased evaluation and equal treatment of all submissions.
Reviewer Selection
Authors submitting manuscripts to CRJ are encouraged to suggest two potential reviewers who meet the following criteria:
• Hold a PhD degree or equivalent academic qualification.
• Possess recognized expertise in the manuscript’s subject area.
• Have no institutional or personal affiliation with the authors.
These criteria help maintain the quality, impartiality, and credibility of the peer review process.
Reviewer Reports
Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:
• Is original and contributes new insights to the field.
• Is methodologically sound and ethically conducted.
• Presents results clearly and supports its conclusions.
• Appropriately references previous relevant work.
Reviewers are not expected to perform language editing or copyediting; linguistic corrections are handled separately by the editorial team.
Review Timeline
The review process typically takes 1–3 weeks. If reviewer reports conflict or delays occur, additional expert opinions may be sought. All reviewers must declare any conflict of interest before accepting a review assignment. Revised manuscripts are usually returned to the same reviewers for re-evaluation, and multiple rounds of revision may be requested.
Final Report and Decision
After receiving reviewer feedback, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision to accept, revise, or reject the manuscript. Authors receive a detailed decision letter, including reviewer comments and editorial recommendations.
Editor’s Decision
While reviewers provide expert advice, the editor’s decision is final. The editorial team ensures that all decisions are made transparently and in accordance with the journal’s ethical and academic standards.
