The CIT Review Journal (CRJ) maintains a clear and consistent copyright policy for all published articles. The copyright for articles published in CRJ is retained by the authors, ensuring that they maintain full ownership of their intellectual work.
Articles are published under an open-access model, allowing anyone to read, download, and share the paper freely. The article may be reused and quoted provided that the original published version is properly cited. This policy promotes maximum dissemination of research while ensuring proper credit and recognition for the authors.
Replicating Published Content from Different Publishers
When replicating published material (figures, tables, schemes, or text extracts) that is not in the public domain or for which the authors do not hold copyright, strict guidelines must be followed. Permission must be obtained from the copyright holder (typically the publisher; please refer to the imprint of individual publications for identification).
Permission is required for:
- Authors’ own works published by other publishers for which they do not retain copyright.
- Significant excerpts from works by any author.
- Use of altered tables, graphs, charts, schemes, or artwork.
- Images for which the author is not the copyright holder.
The following do not require permission:
- Creating original tables using previously published data, with appropriate acknowledgement.
- Fair use of reasonably brief quotations.
- Redesigned or altered graphs, charts, schemes, or artwork beyond recognition.
Authors are advised to secure permissions promptly to avoid delays in the publishing process. If uncertain about copyright status, authorization should be sought before submission. Without proper authorization, the CIT Review Journal cannot publish content reproduced from other sources.
The copyright holder may provide specific guidelines for acknowledgement formatting. If not provided, captions for tables, figures, or schemes should end with:
“Reproduced with permission from [author], [book/journal title]; published by [publisher], [year].”
